Swiss bank manages rental deposit account

A new development is currently coming from Switzerland: For the first time, Swiss tenants can invest their rental deposits in low-cost funds instead of parking their money in low-interest accounts. Ten proven ETFs from leading providers such as UBS or iShares from Blackrock are available for selection. Similar to solutions for pillar 3a, the money invested by tenants will grow with the market and generate a return on the side.

The investment also benefits property management companies and property owners: The deposited rental deposit is fully guaranteed by Evorest in any market situation. In rising markets, they even receive higher coverage for damages.

At the same time, Evorest digitizes the entire process for property managers and tenants. While managers previously had to rely on analog forms, deposits can now be opened completely digitally in just a few steps. Thanks to the elimination of postal services, Evorest saves valuable time for all parties involved and enables the establishment of deposits within just 24 hours.

Swiss bank manages rental deposit account and rental deposit depot For rental deposits invested through Evorest, a rental deposit account in the name of the tenant with a corresponding rental deposit depot is opened at Hypothekarbank Lenzburg AG. The startup uses the innovative open banking interface of the banking platform Finstar for this purpose. The bank manages the portfolio for the duration of the tenancy.

For tenants who do not wish to invest their rental deposit, Evorest also offers a traditional rental deposit account. The rental deposit account is also managed by Hypothekarbank Lenzburg AG. As a regulated bank, Hypothekarbank Lenzburg AG is a member of the deposit insurance scheme Esisuisse. This ensures that bank deposits of up to 100,000 Swiss francs on the rental deposit account are protected against insolvency.

My conclusion: The path to the rental deposit wallet with Bitcoin is already mapped out! For me, these are once again both welcome and groundbreaking developments. In my opinion, the path to the rental deposit wallet with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin is already mapped out!
