SNP: Good Business and Expanded Partnership with IBM

Last Updated: 7. November 2023By

While most secondary values have been weakening for months – especially in the technology and growth sector – the IT and software specialist SNP is still doing splendidly. Since the beginning of the year, the SNP share has risen by almost 46%.

The DAX – the strongest German stock index this year – recorded a plus of only around 7.5%. The reason for SNP’s strong share price performance for months is also the strong operational performance of the company. On October 10th, the software specialist reported the best results ever achieved in a 3rd quarter.

At this point, these were preliminary figures, but they have since been confirmed. Now another positive news from the house of SNP followed. But first a brief look at the business model:

SNP: Specialist for Transformation Software The IT and software specialist SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner was founded in 1994 in Heidelberg by Dr. Andreas Schneider-Neureither, who has since passed away, and has been listed on the stock exchange since 2000. SNP supports companies in adapting their business models and using new technologies.

Software and services from SNP simplify the implementation of business or technical changes in business applications. SNP customers are global companies from all industries, including many of the world’s largest companies. SNP operates worldwide and has already implemented over 10,000 international projects for its prestigious customers.

SNP and IBM Expand Partnership To the news: SNP and IBM’s consulting arm have announced the establishment of a joint global competency center (Center of Excellence / CoE) for hybrid SAP S/4HANA migrations. For explanation: SAP S/4HANA is the new cloud platform of the German software giant SAP.

SNP helps companies migrate to this new platform. The expansion of the partnership between SNP and IBM is the next milestone in this long-standing partnership, with which the two companies bundle their SAP expertise in order to drive forward innovative and modern solutions efficiently.

The centerpiece of the collaboration is a program called Rapid Move, with which IBM supports its customers in their SAP S/4HANA transformations. The program is based on SNP’s CrystalBridge software platform and addresses the growing market for hybrid S/4HANA migrations. In addition, both companies are working closely in the area of generative AI to further increase the efficiency of migration projects.

Higher order intake, more revenue and profit expected The strong growth in this area is also reflected in the new, recently raised forecast for the current financial year. Order intake is now expected to be between 220 and 240 million euros (previous forecast: 210 to 230 million euros).

Revenue is expected at the upper end of the communicated range of 190 to 200 million euros, and operating profit (EBIT) is expected to reach or even slightly exceed the upper end of the communicated range of 5 to 10 million euros. A new entry is currently not pressing given the recently very positive price development and the resulting valuation ratios.
